Dutch Series 1

Post by ToGa » Wed Aug 05, 2009 9:39 am

Hi. I'm trying to find out anything about the original Dutch Series. All I know is that Slicer won, Blue defeated Project One in the first round and then lost to Enderbot. The main thing I need to know is the semi-finalists, but anything will be appreciated.

I'm making a Robot Wars encyclopedia, and whilst we have the second series results for Dutch Robot Wars, we don't have the first series. Thanks very much

Hey guys, thanks for all your help so far, but there are so many questions about Dutch Robot Wars.

http://robotwars.wikia.com/wiki/Slicer

This is our current Slicer article, but we have no statistics regarding its weapon, team and such. We also have articles on Lizzard, Bamm Bamm, PulveriseR, Philiper, Twister and Scraptosaur, but many of these also lack great amounts of information regarding their performance in the Dutch Wars.

If anyone could contribute to these articles, it would be really appreciated.

Well, what I read about PulverizeR (which is mine) is very good stuff! If you have any questions, please ask!

Keep up the good work!

Not to sound pushy, but I'll throw it out there for anyone to answer as well, does anyone have any idea about anything to do with the German or Belgian Robot Wars?

There wasn't a separate German war i think, but there was a competition with germans going into the worldcup. And some dutch teams were in the german pool aswell (lack of proper german bots). it was the year after the 2nd dutch wars i think. one of the dutch 'german teams' was Mytras with 'Das Gepack' which is basicly the same bot as Alien Destructor 1 but with a simpeler bodyshell, but the chasis was still the same. Alien Destructor 2 was entered into the dutch pool, that year.

I thought Philipper was the Belgian champ? Yet, if it was the same as Dutch, PulverizeR would be the champ.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by the German thing, but I do know that Black Hole won, with Tsunami coming runner up, so there was at least a competition.

During the filming of BNN Dutch Robot wars series 1, there was also a German competition, at least AK has fought in that series as well (AK is the predecessor of TAN)

I assumed AK = Arena Killer and TAN = Tough As Nails?
