Hi again. I recently came across a picture of a robot that may have been a Dutch Wars competitor, but I don't know its name. Can anyone identify this robot?
(Linking to pictures because they are very large)

The successor of Shapeshifter.

Petrol engine for forward drive, Bosch 750gpa for reverse.

The scoop was liftable. Used a giant 127mm bore 180mm stroke low pressure brass ram-from Project One.

Hmm, that's strange; I have a picture of what I believed to be Shapeshifter, a black and yellow striped robot with a flywheel and spike, do you know anything about that?

And this successor to Shapeshifter, was it called "Shapeshifter" too or did it have a different name?

Shapeshifter was a machine from the Dutch series One, and that was a machine armored in frangible armor black and yellow striped.
The successor was ment for the Series 2. Some parts, like the huge back wheel, were bought at Spierings

Yes, in the first round it was black and yellow, but in the seccond round it had new armor and that was blue! So it is possible you find pictures of the same machine in two different colours. Thet's why they picked the name shapeshifter!
Hoe dan?

If I recall correctly, the second year bot was called Dozer.

Hi, another quick question. What does "Kodox" mean? I'm guessing it's a portmandeau of "Kos" and "Hardox" but I want to be sure.

It's the portmanteau of KOs and madDOX.

Hi again, sorry to double post, but I've found some more pics of possible Robot Wars competitors, and was wondering if anyone could identify them? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

(Again I'll link because the pictures are big)

1. Silver box w/ forklift and axe

2. Silver pumpkin-shape with hammer

3. white flipper bot with an unusual face

4. Possibly German, silver v-shape with no apparent weapons

5. Polycarbonate cutoff wedge w/lifter

The pumpkin shaped one looks one of the ringers from Mentorn.

Mentorn had a few robots at hand for the situation that a competitors machine would fail before filming.

The guys from Hard used one of these machines against Neater , what did cost Mentorn a CO2 bottle.

...The white flipper with the unusual face, competed during an scalemodelshow (or what the correct word ought to be) in Genk, Belgium. It's armour consisted out of polyester and the flipper was barely able to lift 80 kilograms. Don't know it's name anymore. To my knowledge it never appeared in the series...

These pictures are from a parkinglot / loading area. during the BNN series we came by touringcar + freight truck... Perhaps some of these are not from Mentorn events but from the Genk event. For that you could try and go trough the photo's on Bugs's site.

But i can't recall any of these robots.

It's called '00-0' (in one of the videos I have from Genk[2003] they call it 'DoubleO Nothing')
